CCA River Reef Project Has Begun

Construction of the Jacksonville River Reef has begun this week. Barges of recycled concrete material are being transported to the Coastal Conservation Association River Reef permitted site. Once within the permit boundaries the barge is carefully anchored into position and material is deployed. The 45 second time-lapse below shows one of the many barge loads being deployed. Several more loads will be delivered to the CCA river reef site over the next several days as well as the George Holt permitted reef site.
