If our research is correct the former Gator Bowl press boxes were deployed in 1983. The actual press boxes used at the Gator Bowl facility were transported offshore and deployed in about 80 feet of water to create marine habitat. Pictures of the press boxes prior to the deployment can be found below with a newspaper article written not long after the sinking event.
